Questions
About this day
Is the castle tour in English?
The guided tours are usually in English. The castle offers audio guides in several languages, including French, German, Spanish and Italian.
Can we swap the order and start at Howth?
Yes. Some guests prefer the harbour first while it is quiet. We then fix the castle tour for later in the morning.
Is there time for the Howth cliff walk?
Not within the half day. The Cliff Path Loop is 7.8 km and takes about two hours according to Sport Ireland, so it suits a full day better. We can quote that instead.
Can the half day be turned into a full day?
Yes. Add the city, a long lunch in Howth or the coast further north, and we quote it as a full day instead.
Do we need to arrive early for the castle?
The castle asks visitors to arrive ten minutes before the tour time for check-in. We plan the drive so that you are there with time to spare.
