The service
A private driver in Dublin, by the hour or by the journey
In Dublin most people book us for one of two things: the run in from the airport, or a car that stays with them while they work through a list of addresses in the city.
From either terminal to the city centre is sixteen kilometres and about thirty minutes. Between 07:00 and 09:30, and again from 16:00, the M50 and the port tunnel slow down, so the pickup time is set with that traffic in mind.
Booked by the hour, the chauffeur waits outside each appointment and drives you on to the next one: a hotel, an office, the Convention Centre or the quay at Dún Laoghaire. The hours and the rate are set down in writing first, and no meter runs.
When a day runs long, tell the chauffeur, and the extra time is agreed with you before it is added. For a longer plan a half or full day usually works out better, and your quote will say which.
Leaving Dublin is quoted the same way. Galway, Limerick, Killarney, Adare and Belfast are regular runs from here, each one a fixed price for one vehicle, with tolls and the port tunnel inside it.

How does hourly chauffeur hire work in Dublin?

What is the hourly rate in Dublin?
It is confirmed on request, in writing, once we know the hours and the vehicle you need. Airport transfers have fixed prices, shown in the table on this page.
Where do you meet us at Dublin Airport?
Inside arrivals at Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, with a name sign. The terminal comes from your flight number and is in your confirmation the day before.
Can the chauffeur take us to Dún Laoghaire or the K Club?
Yes. Dún Laoghaire quay is about forty minutes from the airport and the K Club at Straffan about forty-five, either as a single transfer or as part of a day with the car held.
Can we cancel a Dublin booking?
Cancellations are accepted up to forty-eight hours before pickup. Closer to the day, we check what has already been committed for your booking and tell you what applies before anything is charged.
